Pack 1 provides and prepares meals for every camping trip so you do not need to worry about meals or meal prep. However, there are a few items that you should bring:
About TentsNot every camping trip requires a tent. For example, every winter camping trip is in a cabin with heating. In addition, we occasionally visit camp sites where platform tents or cabins are available. If we are attending a camp site where a tent is required and you do not own one, Pack 1 has a few extra tents that are available to borrow. We'll even help you set it up if you ask nicely!
A tent (unless attending a trip where shelter is provided)
Bedding (sleeping bag, pillow, etc.)
Something to sleep on such as an air mattress, mattress pad, etc.
A mess kit (cup, plate & utensils)
Bug spray
Flashlights
Clothing for warm days and cool nights
Rain gear (and extra socks)
Toiletries such as a tooth brush & tooth paste. Some sites have showers and others do not.
(Optional) Snacks and appropriate drinks
Be Prepared For Water/RainAlways be prepared for rain even if it is not in the forecast. That includes water proof shoes/boots and extra socks. Scouts are magnets for water whether it's rain or streams!
