DESCRIPTION:2026 Coastal District Pinewood Derby Race\nat Avenue United Methodist Church\n20 N Church St\, Milford\, DE 19963\n\nSaturday\, April 11\, 2026    12pm-5pm\n\n\nThis Event is Invitation Only – Do Not Register if you didn’t receive an official invite from Pack One Leadership!\n\n\nCost:  $10.00 per car\n\n\nThe Coastal Pinewood Derby is a fun and energetic Scouting event where youth race small wooden cars they’ve built. The top 2 Winners for each Den Level from each Pack in Coastal District are invited. Cars are weighed\, measured at the Pack Level Pinewood Derby\, a quick check will be done here too at check in before the race to ensure they meet the standard rules. Races are run on a 4 lane sloped aluminum track\, and cars compete in heats\, with times recorded electronically. The Top Finisher from each Den will then Race for an overall District Winner! \nYou don’t need to bring anything special except your Derby Cars & enthusiasm! Families often take photos\, encourage their Scouts\, and celebrate every run\, whether it wins or not. Awards will be given for fastest race times. Most importantly\, the Pinewood Derby is about having fun and supporting youth as they show off something they built with pride. \n***Scouting America’s Pinewood Derby Car Building Rules*** \nEach local Pinewood Derby committee determines the rules for building and racing cars. The committee will need to make sure their rules don’t conflict with those of the district or council to ensure their members can participate in events at those levels. \n\nAll cars must pass the following inspection to qualify for the race:\nWidth shall not exceed 2-3/4 inches.\nLength shall not exceed 7 inches.\nWeight shall not exceed 5 ounces.\nWheelbase shall not be altered from the standard derby kit location.\nAxles\, wheels\, and body shall be from the materials provided in the kit. Additional wheels can be purchased separately.\nWheel bearings\, washers\, and bushings are prohibited.\nNo part of the car may extend in front of/beyond the start gate.\nNo lubricating oil may be used. Axles may be lubricated with powdered graphite or silicone.\nThe car shall not ride on any kind of spring.\nAll 4 wheels must touch the track during the race.\nThe car must be free-wheeling\, with no starting devices.\nNo loose materials of any kind are allowed in the car.\n\nStaggered Start Times will be released closer to the event. \nEvent contact is Chris Huebler at hueblerbsa@gmail.com

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Sunset Cruise with Fisherman’s Wharf from 6:15pm-8:00pm on August 9th.\n  \nThis Delaware Bay Evening Cruise\, also narrated\, offers our stunning views of popular sites such as the East End Lighthouse\, Cape Henlopen Point\, the Cape May Lewes Ferry terminal\, Lewes Beach\, and Cape Henlopen State Park\, just to name a few. We will also be on the lookout for dolphins & other marine life! \nThis popular cruise operates from Anglers Rd\, on the canal in downtown Lewes\, sailing into the Delaware Bay via the Roosevelt Inlet. \nIf there are unfavorable wind or wave conditions on the bay\, this cruise will remain in the sheltered waters of the Broadkill River and/or Lewes-Rehoboth canal. Join us for beautiful views of some of our most popular local attractions\, and the chance to see wildlife and enjoy the sunset. \nActivity (Class B) uniforms preferred\, but not required. \nThe Dock is located in Lewes\, take Route 9 East. Cross the drawbridge and make an immediate left onto Anglers Road. The Dock is immediately on your left after turning\, next to the Wheelhouse restaurant. \nThis event is limited to 65 people and is $25/person. Costs covers the Cruise & Gratuity. SUMMARY:Coastal Chariot Derby
DESCRIPTION:  \nWhat is a Chariot Derby you may ask?  The Cub Scout Chariot Derby is a fun obstacle course race where dens and packs compete against each other for the fastest time through the course.  Coastal breaks down the race into three age divisions: Lions/Tigers\, Wolves/Bears and Webelos/AOLs. Each division winner gets a trophy and the overall winners get one as well.  The course is a little less than a quarter mile and includes obstacles that can be physical in nature (like running through the tire ladder or crossing a balance beam)\, or they can be scouting in nature (like putting the Scout Law into order or identifying ranks).  Either way\, it’s a lot of fun and a great way to get outside and meet other Cub Scouts from all over the district. We hope to see you there! \nBring your own chariot or use one of ours! \nAll paid participants will receive a patch\, hotdog\, chips and a drink. \nWhere\nRedden State Forest\n18074 Redden Forest Drive\, Georgetown\, Delaware 19947\n\nWhen\nSaturday\, November 7\, 2026 from 12pm – 3 pm\n\nCost\n\n$7 per participant – Includes participation\, hotdog\, chips\, soda\, awards & patch.\nWalk-in registrations will be accepted. DESCRIPTION:All Pack 1 cub scouts are invited to join the pack in walking in the Lewes Christmas Parade. \nAll Scouts are encouraged to create a NASA Rocketship/Space Shuttle Costume to wear during the parade. \nUniform is Activity (Class B) or Field (Class A) showing/over coats & jackets. Holiday accessories are encouraged. \nWe will meet in the Lewes Elementary School bus lot\, walk down Savannah Rd.\, turn left on 2nd Street and end our home at the St. Peter’s. \nRSVP kindly Requested.
