DESCRIPTION:You are invited to attend the 2024 AOL planned camping trip at Camp Snyder in Haymarket\, Virginia. This trip is open to all Pack One Scouts & Families\, but space is limited to 46 spots. \nLocated in Prince William County Virginia\, Camp William B. Snyder encompasses 350-acres including a managed wetland. A premier camping location within the National Capital Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America\, the facility has been open to Cub Scouts\, Boy Scouts\, Venturers and community organizations since 2006. \nA visit to the Smithsonian’s National Air & Space Museum Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center is planned; \n \nThe Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center near Washington Dulles International Airport is the companion facility to the museum in Washington\, D.C. Hundreds of historically significant air- and spacecraft\, along with thousands of small artifacts\, are on display in an open\, hangar-like setting. Other features of the Center include the Donald D. Engen Observation Tower\, the Airbus IMAX Theater\, and the Mary Baker Engen Restoration Hangar\, where visitors can watch museum specialists at work restoring artifacts. See the Space Shuttle Discovery; B-29 Superfortress Enola Gay; Concorde\, Lockheed Martin SR-71 Blackbird & Boeing Stratoliner to name a few. \nCOST: $30 per adult\, Youth are FREE includes Saturday Breakfast\, Lunch & Dinner\, Sunday Breakfast. SUMMARY:School Supply Drive - Backpack Packing Event
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce yet another summer activity/community service project. We have recently partnered with St. Peter’s Episcopal church\, for a School Supply Drive\, benefiting Cape Henlopen Educational Foundation (CHEF). \nSeveral ranks have a “Duty to God” adventure requirement\, and this act of service will fulfill that requirement. Please check with your den leader\, for more information and to let them know if your scout has participated. \nWays to Participate \nThere are several ways for you and your family to participate in this summer activity/service project: \n\nCollect school supplies from the supplies list and either bring them to Cape Henlopen State Park on Saturday\, August 17th from 4:00-5:00pm or drop them off at the following drop off location below at any time through the morning of Thursday\, August 15th:\n\nPeter’s Episcopal Church\n\n\nWe have put together an Amazon registry of the items needed. Please check your departure time upon making reservations\, as they will vary with the changing sunset times throughout the season. \nIf there are unfavorable wind or wave conditions on the bay\, this cruise will remain in the sheltered waters of the Broadkill River and/or Lewes-Rehoboth canal. DESCRIPTION:Our Spring camping trip will take place at Trap Pond State Park campground from Friday\, April 26th at 4pm – Sunday\, April 28th at 12pm.\n  \nThis is a great two night camping trip to attend whether you are an expert or have never camped before. While we encourage you to spend either Saturday night or both Friday & Saturday nights\, all Scouts & Families are welcome to join us for activities on Saturday. Our Campfire program will be on Saturday evening. The campground has indoor restrooms\, plus a bathhouse nearby. Meals will be provided for Saturday breakfast\, lunch & dinner\, plus Sunday breakfast.
