SUMMARY:Big Chill Camping Trip
DESCRIPTION:RSVP Required\, Limited Space Event.  \nAll Pack 1 families are invited to join us on our annual Big Chill camping trip January 31st-February 2nd\, a two-night camping trip at the Rodney Scout Reservation. \nThis will be a large cabin trip\, with heating\, and bunk style beds. Top bunks have integrated side rails to keep Scouts in! A bathhouse (hot water) will also be available. \nPlease pack to keep warm during the days & especially at night! Plan for warm & cold & wet & dry weather! \nPack 1 will provide breakfast\, lunch and dinner on Saturday as well as breakfast on Sunday morning. \nWe’ll have a campfire program with a US Flag Retirement Ceremony as well. \nIndividual Dens will be hosting “Cracker-Barrel” on Friday evening. \nSaturday will have a hike up & over “Bull Mountain” plus stops at the Trading Post & Gaga Ball pit. \nFor information on what items to bring\, please see our handy checklist. \nThis camping trip is always a Scout favorite! \nSpots are limited\, only 68 bunks are available. \nCost: $60/adult\, Scouts are free. $25/additional youth &/or siblings. \nRequirements to attend: \n\nPurchase tickets to reserve your spot prior to attending. Please also reserve for your Scouts\, even with no cost!\nComplete and submit medical forms Part A & B for each person attending the trip\, Adult\, Scout & Youth. Pre-Submit your activity forms too for the hike.

DESCRIPTION:2025 Pack One Pinewood Derby!\nPlease RSVP if Racing or just Attending.\nNEW for 2025\, ALL Derby Cars must be completed & turned in for check in\, weigh in & storage at the Pack Meeting on February 18th. \nRace Location:\nRehoboth Beach Fire Station\n219 Rehoboth Ave\,\nRehoboth Beach\, DE 19971\n\nParking\nYou can either park along Rehoboth Ave. or you can park in the Convention Center parking lot which is located directly behind the fire station and can be accessed via Lake Avenue. \nDen Race Schedule:\nSaturday\, February 22\, 2025 \n12:00-12:30 PM: Lions\n12:45-1:15 PM: Tiger\n1:30-2:00 PM: Wolves\n2:15-2:45 PM: Bears\n3:00-3:30 PM: Webelos\n3:45-4:15 PM: AOL\n4:30PM: Championship (Top 12 cars in the pack) \n5:00pm: Adult Race \nAwards\nPlace of Finish \n\nScouts who place 1st-4th in their den heat will receive a place of finish patch to match their finish position.\nScouts who place 1st-3rd overall for their den will receive a trophy\nThe top 12 cars in the Pack (by time) will compete immediately after the AOL den for the pack championship. Scouts who finish 1st – 3rd overall for the entire pack will receive a trophy.\nDesign Awards\n\nFor those scouts who care more about the appearance of their car versus speed\, we have four design awards to be distributed to the entire pack: \n\nScariest themed (new for 2025)\nMost realistic\nBest BSA (Scouting) theme\nMost unique or funny.\n\nRules\nPlease remember to follow the rules which are included with the car kits: \n\nNO PRE-BUILT PURCHASED DERBY CARS!\nThe car must not weigh over 5 ounces\nOnly powdered graphite can be used as lubricant\nCars must be 7” long (length of the original block)\nWidth between wheels must be 1 3/4” (width of the original block)\nA 4 3/8” wheelbase (distance as measured between original block’s axle slots)\nAll other rules included in the derby kit or at this link.\nNEW for 2025\, ALL Derby Cars must be turned in & completed for check in\, weigh in & storage at the Pack Meeting on February 18th.\n\nAny Derby Cars not meeting the rules may be fixed/adjusted & re-tested. If they still fail\, they may still race\, but no award may be earned. \nIf you have any specific questions about the rules or derby in general\, feel free to email leadership and we will gladly answer your questions. \nVery\, very basic emergency car repair materials will be available\, do not arrive needing extra weight\, or graphite. \nPlease remember that the Pinewood Derby is to be a learning experience for your scouts to build and show their car (as much as age appropriate). Do not purchase a car or race kit. Do not build the entire car for your scout. Neither of those teaches your scout any skills and it is unfair to the other scouts who worked hard on their car. \nNew for 2024-25 we have added an Adult Race! DESCRIPTION:The Arrow of Light ceremony is a celebration for Cub Scouts who earn the Arrow of Light badge\, marking their readiness to transition from Cub Scouting to a Troop in Scouting America. The ceremony is intended to be inspirational and help Scouts feel excited about their new adventure\, as well as to provide a meaningful recognition of all they learned over the Scouting years.  \nThis special ceremony is open to all Pack One Leaders\, Committee Members\, AOL Scouts & their families.
